Associate/Assistant Director of Arts & Cultural Programming

Through an Arts-Centered Lens, this role supports the development, coordination, and evaluation of programs at the Bruce D. Nesbitt African American Cultural Center (BNAACC) that uplift Black history, culture, and lived experiences across campus and the local community.

This role will advance creative, educational, retention, and community-focused initiatives.

Centering art, storytelling, and community to inspire learning and connection is essential to this role.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Student staff supervision
  • Oversight of the Shelley Ambassador Program
  • Management of our podcasting space, Where Black Media Lives (WBML)
  • Leading cultural programs and workshops, including:
    • Black History Month programming
    • Food for the Soul — weekly Lunch & Learn series

This role will co-lead initiatives like:

  • The Black and Latinx Summit
  • Circuit, Early Engagement Program
  • The BNAACC Congratulatory Program

Salary Range:

We are hiring for ONE position at either level.

  • Assistant Director: $56 – 62k
  • Associate Director: $71K – 76K
